Concord, MA (& its Sages)

I became interested in Henry David Thoreau and the other Transcendentalists when I was in my later High School years. I had never dreamed of going to Concord but once I found this village, it instantly became a constant in my life and the lives of my children.

I have kayaked Walden, placed quarters on the RR tracks above Walden to flatten them for the kids, stayed at the Colonial Inn multiple times, walked Main street and shopped, completed stone rubbings in three of the cemeteries and spent half of a rainy day in the Concord Library.

And of course, any trip I make to Concord is always accompanied by a jaunt to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery where I can visit with the likes of Thoreau, Alcott, Hawthorne, Emerson and others.
